Blowing Snow, Ice Continue to Cause Havoc on Minnesota Roads

Driving to the posted speed limit is not always ideal. At least two semis drove off the road on Interstate 94 Friday morning

At least two semis drove off the road on Interstate 94 Friday morning. With wind chills falling well below zero across the state and snowy and icy conditions covering the road, the Minnesota State Patrol is reminding motorists that driving to the posted speed limit is sometimes not safe, and motorists should instead drive to the conditions of the road.

With scattered slippery spots on the roads, be especially cautious when driving on bridge decks and highway overpasses, and keep the cruise control off.
