June 12 is Women’s Veterans Day and often does not get the recognition it deserves. Women have served in the military since the Civil War when they would dress as men to serve in combat. Women have served in a variety of roles in every US war; 250,000 served during the Viet Nam War. Beginning in 2015, women have served in combat roles.
We must recognize and celebrate military service women for their accomplishments and contribution to our freedom! To this end, all female veterans are invited to join us to honor our women who have served. If you have not seen the Women's Memorial in the beautiful park you are missing out.
To this end, all female veterans, their families and friends are invited to join on June 12th at the Veterans Memorial Park in Blaine, 10802 Town Square Drive Northeast, Blaine, MN.
