Come join us at Lakewood Cemetery for a special event honoring 170+ Civil War veterans who previously had unmarked graves and just received new grave markers. This is a great opportunity to pay tribute to these heroes and learn what units they served. Let's come together to remember and honor those who fought for our freedom. Open to the public and free.
In attendance will be members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Camp 56, Civil War reenactors, Ladies of the GAR, Living History Society, and impressions of President Lincoln, Weeping Widow and others.
Back by popular demand: After the ceremony there will be a tour of where Civil War veterans from the 1st and 2nd Minnesota Infantry are buried.
