Crashes Mount Across Central Minnesota Thursday
Wind gusts, ice, and scattered flurries are making for poor road conditions across the central portion of the state Thursday.

Wind, ice, and scattered flurries are making for poor road conditions across the state Thursday. The Minnesota State Patrol reported that by 1:00 p.m., more than 30 crashes and 47 vehicle spin-out incidents took place in west central Minnesota.
Sgt. Jesse Grabow said on Twitter that icy stretches of the road played a factor in several crashes on Interstate 94 from Moorhead to Alexandria.


Earlier on Wednesday, a semi jackknifed on I-94, partially blocking the highway in Evansville, Minnesota.

Troopers across the state are using the hashtag #NotOneMore to plead with drivers to help avoid any additional traffic deaths in Minnesota this year.
So far in 2016, 390 people have been killed in crashes compared with 394 at this time last year, according to preliminary numbers.
