Deadly St. Paul Car Fire Was A Suicide: Police

Residents at the apartment complex said they heard loud booms Friday night.

SAINT PAUL, MN — Investigators say a deadly car fire in Saint Paul Friday night was a suicide. Fire crews responded to the Como Place Apartments on Edmund Avenue at about 7 p.m. and extinguished the flames.

Police found one person dead inside the vehicle.

Residents of the apartment complex told KSTP they heard loud booms that sounded like an explosion. The Saint Paul police bomb squad responded to the scene.
