Final Version Of New MN State Flag Expected To Be Approved Tuesday

Time is running out for the Minnesota State Emblems Redesign Commission to finalize any edits to the new state seal and flag.

With just days before the Christmas holiday and about a dozen days left before it needs to formally adopt a new design, the State Emblems Redesign Commission is expected to finalize the new flag and seal for Minnesota at its meeting on Tuesday.

ST. PAUL, MN — With just days before the Christmas holiday and about a dozen days left before it needs to formally adopt a new design, the State Emblems Redesign Commission is expected to finalize the new flag and seal for Minnesota at its meeting on Tuesday.

The commission already decided that seal design "S224" and flag design "F1953" will serve as the basis for the next Minnesota symbols. However significant edits and modifications still need to be agreed upon.

The commission meets at 9 a.m. The public can watch a live stream of the meeting over Zoom here.
