Man Dies In Saint Paul Officer-Involved Shooting

Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of one person early Wednesday.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of an adult male Wednesday.

At about 2:20 a.m., officers were called to an apartment building on the 700 block of East 6th Street on a report of a domestic situation involving physical violence.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a man in the street near the intersection of East Seventh and Sinnen Streets. Police say shots were fired and the man was struck.

Officers immediately called for Saint Paul fire medics, who responded and pronounced him dead.

Three officers were on scene when the incident occurred, none was injured, according to a news release.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension will lead the investigation into what led to the shooting and will release any additional information about the incident, including the identity of those involved.
