Minnesota Hunter's Death Now a Homicide Investigation

The Nov. 7 shooting death of a hunter that took place in Minnesota is now being investigated as a homicide. Authorities initially approached the incident as a possible hunting accident.

Investigators are now seeking the public’s help in locating a gun believed to have been stolen during the incident, which took place on property near the intersection of Hawthorne Road and Jewel Road in Belle Prairie Township, east of Little Falls.

Terrence Brisk, 41, was found dead in the woods from a gunshot wound. Brisk was believed to be hunting as he was wearing blaze orange when he was found by a family member, according to a news release.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Winchester Model AE 30-30 lever action rifle belonging to Terrence Brisk. The rifle is described as an older model, with a wooden stock and forearm, with no sling attached.

Brisk was known to carry the rifle in the woods while hunting. There is a $20,000 reward for information that leads to the identification of the person who shot and killed Brisk.
