MnDOT Employee Rescues Lost Dog

MnDOT drivers encounter many interesting things on Twin Cities roadways, but they usually don't bark.

MnDOT Freeway Incident Response Safety Team (FIRST) drivers encounter many interesting things on Twin Cities roadways, but they usually don't bark. On Tuesday afternoon, FIRST driver Mike Howe picked up a beautiful dog on Highway 36 near Edgerton.

Howe then turned the pup over to Ramsey County animal control. MnDOT posted about the dog on social media in hopes that the owner would be informed about the dog's whereabouts.

As it turns out, the lucky dog had a microchip and the animal hospital was able to contact the owners. The dog and owner were reunited Wednesday morning.
