More Snow, Subzero Temps Coming To Twin Cities Before Spring Weather Returns
Up to 3 inches could fall this week after a massive weekend snowstorm.
Twin Cities residents can expect more snow and subzero temperatures this week before Mother Nature rings in the first day of spring with some seasonally appropriate warmer weather on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
“Another round of snow will arrive Tuesday afternoon and evening,” according to a social media post Monday from the NWS Twin Cities X account. “Accumulations of 1-3 inches are expected. Then, turning quiet and milder mid-late week.”
The low overnight Monday into Tuesday will be minus 3 degrees, followed by wind chill values as low as minus 15 degrees on Tuesday, according to the weather service forecast for the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Also Tuesday, the area is expected to see snow in the afternoon, extending into the overnight hours.

Wednesday and Thursday are predicted to bring sun and highs in the 40s, according to the weather service, before a forecast high near 52 degrees on Friday, followed by a high near 58 degrees on Saturday.
