Pickup Driver Killed In Rollover On Highway 280 Ramp Toward I-94

The 33-year-old was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

SAINT PAUL, MN — A Newport, Minnesota man was killed Sunday when his truck rolled on the southbound Highway 280 ramp onto eastbound Interstate 94. Near the bottom of the ramp, the Dodge Dakota hit a median wall and began to roll.

The driver of the pickup — 33-year-old Christopher Michael Kelly — was ejected before the vehicle came to a stop on its roof.

Kelly was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
