SPFE Mediation Update: March 8

My update about mediation between SPPS and SPFE will be brief. At this hour we are continuing discussions with our goal of reaching agreement on a new contract. We have been meeting since noon.

Today has been active with a number of counter-proposals from both sides, and we have a tentative agreement on one proposal.

While we must prepare for a strike, we remain focused on preventing it from happening. My team and I are prepared to remain in mediation for as long as that takes.
