University Of St. Thomas Mourns Loss Of Sophomore Katie Mullen​​

Andover native Katie Mullen was a dean's list student and a "cherished" friend, the university said.

SAINT PAUL, MN — Authorities are investigating after a University of St. Thomas sophomore was found unresponsive in her bed Sunday morning. She was later pronounced dead.

The cause of death for Katie Mullen, an Andover, native will be released by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Saint Paul police do not believe that alcohol and drugs were factors, KARE 11 reported.

Mullen, a dean’s list student and "cherished" friend, worked in Academic Counseling and Support, the university said. "She will be deeply missed."
