Yes, it's the Law: Turn On Headlights when it's Snowing
Improve your chances of avoiding a ditch or a collision in Monday's snowstorm by turning on your headlights.

The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) is responding to crashes across the state as snow continues to fall Monday. One way motorists can stay out of the ditch and on the road in snowstorms is by slowing down and turning on their headlights for visibility.
But turning on your headlights isn't just a suggestion. In Minnesota, it's actually the law:
169.48 Vehicle Lighting
Lights are to be displayed on every vehicle on a highway in Minnesota:
(1) at any time from sunset to sunrise;
(2) at any time when it is raining, snowing, sleeting, or hailing

Authorities are also reminding motorists to drive to the conditions of the road. It only takes a split second to lose control, especially on bridges, overpasses, and on/off ramps.
