The City Council affirmed its decision not to flood the ice rink at Riverside Fields Park. In December, neighborhood residents requested the council reconsider its decision to close the rink as approved in the Parks, Trails and Recreation Master Plan. The city has plans to remove the park’s rink boards and lighting for possible reuse at Lions Park. The warming house/park shelter will remain for programs and rentals. City to study water levels at Quarry Lake

The plan will evaluate outlet options and help establish a normal water level, which is essential for future park improvements.
