Art at Shakopee Library Part of Scott County Art Crawl Preview
The pre-show exhibit will run through Oct. 13 and is available for viewing during normal library hours.

The kicked off on Sept. 8 and will run through October 13 at Shakopee Public Library and two other county libraries. People can see an array of original fine artwork created by local artists in such categories as paintings, photography, sculpture, glass art and pottery.
“The art crawl is a wonderful opportunity for businesses, artists and the community to come together to celebrate art,” said Gini Wermerskirchen, an oil painter from Shakopee. “I am excited to participate, discover and connect with kindred spirits, fellow artists and art buyers.”

The Pre-Show Exhibit allows people to glimpse a piece of art from 50-plus local artists participating in the upcoming Scott County Art Crawl.
The three locations for the exhibit are at 235S. Lewis St., Savage Public Library at 13090 Alabama Ave. S., and Prior Lake Public Library at 16210 Eagle Creek Ave. SE. The exhibit is open during normal library hours.

The third annual Scott County Art Crawl takes place on Saturday, October 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drawing people from the greater Twin Cities area, participants will drive scenic routes through Scott County with stops at local artists’ studios, libraries and businesses such as coffee shops and art galleries. Maps for the route will be available starting next week on the website.
