Coyotes State Pairings Set

The Coyotes will take on the 2010 state champion Midway Snurdbirds, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m. in first round of state tourney play.

The Shakopee Coyotes completed region play dropping a pair of games, losing to St. Patrick 8-1 in the semifinal round Saturday and dropping the third place game 4-2 to Prior Lake on Sunday afternoon.

The Coyotes will enter the state tournament as region 3's  #4 seed. The Coyotes will open state tourney play next Sunday at St. Cloud's Faber Field where they will take on the region 16 #2 seed Midway Snurdbirds at 4 p.m. The Snurdbirds won the Class "C" title in 2010. If the Coyotes get by the Snurdbirds they will advance to play the #1 seed from region 12 the Howard Lake Lakers on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. at Faber Field.
