Shakopee Coyotes Stunned in Lonsdale, Lose 4-3
A bases loaded double in the ninth that stayed fair by inches plated 3 runs to snatch the game away from Shakopee in their first region playoff game in 7 years.

The Shakopee Coyotes baseball team led 3-1 going into the bottom of 9th. The Coyotes Jordan Triestram was locked in a pitchers dual with Lonsdale's Derek Christianson, allowing a sac fly in the fifth inning.
With one out in the sixth, player/manager Josh Gregor singled to left and Zak Hoffman followed with a towering home run to right center for a 2-1 lead. The Coyotes added an insurance run in the eighth when pinch runner Matt Krouse scored on a wild pitch.
In the ninth Cody Pamperin struck out the first batter. After an infield hit and two walks, Lonsdale's Kevin Kalina sent a soft liner down the right field line that stayed fair by inches to snatch the victory away from the Coyotes. The Coyotes must now regroup and get ready to face the Prior Lake Mudcats on Sunday Aug. 5, at Tahpah Park. Game time is noon.
