I enjoyed the opportunity running for State Legislature, but look forward to moving on

I was glad to had the opportunity to run for State Senate this past summer and State House in 2010. Would I run for a State Legislative Race in the future? No

As I offically ended my campaign for State Senate, I was glad to had the opportunity to run for State Senate this past summer and State House in 2010 and meet great people and other candidates on all sides of the political aisle. I now look forward to just being a supporter of candidates on November 6th. Would I run for a State Legislative Race in the future? No, Why? I have always agreed running for State Office is a noble uptaking, but I do not want the hassel in any future political endeavors with political action groups, political party endorsements, and fundraising. So if I do run again for Public Office it would be only a non-partisan race at city level or county level. I see non-partisan races as a better option to run for public office while not to be tied to a party label or have to deal with PACs and Special Interest Groups. I learned in those two state legislative races, that the state primary races are dominated by big money special interests and party favorites. I got frustrated with that premise. It was a no-win situation, If you do not have 500 signatures verified by a county election office, you cannot get on the ballot as a Independent, If you do not have PAC money you cannot win a general election, or if you do not have a party endorsement, You get looked past in the primary process. I was truly fed up of feeling like I was always running into a wall. I would be glad not to run for a state office ever again. I feel my campaign style and my own principles are better suited at a non-partisan local level. I enjoyed the opportunity to run for state legislative office, but I am ready to move on.
