Volunteers Needed for Habitat Build in Shakopee!
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity will be building homes in our community and you're invited to join us to help make to make a difference - right here in Shakopee!
Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity will be building homes in the Shakopee community and the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Week to allow those in the Shakopee and surrounding areas the opportunity to make a difference!
For this volunteer week we will need a total of 75 volunteers over a 5-day period (August 27-31, 2012) with at least 15 volunteers for each day. Individuals and groups can volunteer for 1, 2, or more days from 8:30am-4:00pm each volunteer day. The build site is located at 1664 Philipp Way in Shakopee, MN 55379.

Volunteer Impact
You can help Twin Cities Habitat build a new home by volunteering on the construction site. Your experience might include the opportunity to learn about the need for affordable housing in the Twin Cities. Spend a day on the construction site and you may work on the following:

- Framework
- Cabinets
- Insulation work
- Sheet rock
- Windows and doors
- Siding
- Flooring and trim
- Interior and exterior painting
Note: The construction schedule changes from day to day depending on the phase of work the home is in.
