DSF Lakefront Days Triathlon Draws 186 Athletes

The ninth annual Dakotah! Sport and Fitness Lakefront Days Triathlon attracted 186 competitors to Cleary Lake Regional Park in Prior Lake on August 2. Eric Hendrickson of Minnetonka placed first with a time of 1:02:49, while the first female finisher was Sarah Foley of Cologne, who finished in 1:14:00.

The triathlon started with a 1/4-mile swim at Cleary Lake Beach, followed by a 14-mile bicycle loop through county roads and a 3.3-mile run through Cleary Lake Regional Park. One hundred sixty eight athletes competed in the individual triathlon, while 18 participants competed in the relay event.

2nd Mata Agre, 21, Corcoran (1:16:20)

3rd Karen Corona, 26, Minneapolis (1:19:32)

Mixed Relay Team Event

1st Trajano-Trajano – Daniell Trajano and Daniel Trajano (1:24:23)

2nd Bukos – Emilie Bukowski, Andy Bukowski, and Susan Bukowski (1:25:45)

3rd Oregominn – Joel Spalding and Jeffrey Carlson (1:27:05)

Dakotah! Sport and Fitness, an enterprise of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, sponsored the event with Three Rivers Park District and Cleary Lake Regional Park. The race was also supported by the Prior Lake Police Department, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, Mdewakanton Public Safety, Allina, and numerous volunteers along the routes.
