Minnesota State Sacred Harp Convention

Do you love to sing? Do you like history? Then this all-day sing-along is for you!

Sacred Harp, or shape-note singing, is an American traditional form of singing hymns, anthems and gospel songs in four parts. Singers sit facing the middle of a square, producing a beautiful, powerful sound. The music has a distinctive open and modal sound, and the singing is usually exuberant, rhythmic and full of feeling. Everyone is welcome. Come to sing or to listen.

This event is FREE and a free potluck lunch is also provided. Loaner books will be available. Enter by the west gate, not the main gate.
