Chamber Members Invited to Learn More About City's Daytime Fire Services

Mayor invites chamber members to information meeting at main fire station.

Who'll fight Shakopee fires during the daytime?

That's the topic of an informational meeting March 20, 2013, at Shakopee's main fire station, announced by Mayor Brad Tabke in a March 7 letter to Shakopee Chamber of Commerce members.

"I am writing to invite you to attend an information meeting regarding the City of Shakopee's fire services, specifically how your company could help us solve an issue that is facing all of us—day time response to emergencies," Tabke wrote. "Changes in today's society have made responders daytime availability more difficult to recruit."
