Fire Department Receives Rope Rescue Equipment Donation

The City of Shakopee recently received a donation of $20,000 in rope rescue equipment from Rahr Malting Corp.

The donation includes crucial life-saving equipment the Shakopee Fire Department uses for high-angle, low-angle, confined space and technical rescue situations. Throughout the city, many challenging and unique areas require this specific equipment and highly trained firefighters.

“The Shakopee Fire Department would like to thank Rahr Malting Corp. for this generous donation that provides much needed equipment to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors,” said Deputy Chief Dave Giddings. “Rahr’s generosity and strong vested interest in community safety is second to none.”
