Giving Thanks for Health | Eden Prairie Chiropractor

It seems today, more than ever, things are being taken for granted. Rather it is our family, friends, lifestyle, or even our health; everyone may be guilty of taking our lives for granted at some point. I certainly know that I’m guilty of just that! It is easy in this fast-paced, deadline filled, stress dominated world that we live in today. Occasionally we need to remember to stop and smell the roses.

That is what Thanksgiving is all about! Sure we stuff our faces with Turkey and all the fixings, but this time of the year is all about being thankful. I’m not going to start a laundry list of things to be thankful for (that would go on forever) this is just a friendly reminder to look into your heart and be thankful for everything you have. I will mention one important aspect of our lives that we should all be extremely thankful for - our health!

Now some of you may read this and think, “My health is terrible, thanks for nothing is more like it!” Well the fact remains, although you may not be very healthy, you are alive and therefore still express health and life. All of us are a different expression of health, and that is a combination of a lot of things such as our genetics, our lifestyles, our history, etc. The important thing to remember is that YOU play a role in the amount of health YOU express.

Chiropractic helps support you in that role. Routine adjustments maintain proper nervous system function allowing you to express as much life and health as possible. Sure that expression is greater in some people than in others, but everyone has a light and should work their hardest to allow that light to burn bright. Happy Thanksgiving!
