Shakopee Swim Team to Compete in Section 6AA Meet
Shakopee junior Katelyn Nadeau's chances are good today for earning a spot in the state meet next weekend.

ON THE LINE
The Sabers face a loaded field in the Section 6AA championships this week. Chanhassen, Eden Prairie, Edina, Hopkins, Minneapolis South, Minneapolis Southwest and Minnetonka are also in this section. Shakopee finished fourth in the True Team Sections against these same squads. Edina was second in the True State championships and Minnetonka was fourth. The top two individuals and top relay teams in each event advance to state and any swimmer meeting the state qualifying time moves on as well.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Katelyn Nadeau - Shakopee
The junior won the 200-freestyle and won the 100-butterfly at the Missota Conference championship last year. She was second in the 200-freestyle and fourth in the 100-butterfly at the True Team Section championships. Nadeau is the Sabers’s best chance of having a representative in the state meet next weekend at the U of M Aquatics Center. She made the state meet last year in both events.
