Notice Of Comment Period: EAW For The Proposed Summerland Place Development

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Shakopee wishes to notify all interested parties of the availability of an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the proposed Summerland Place development. The EAW includes review a phased residential development on 115 acres in the City of Shakopee. The project is located north of 17th Avenue East, west of Canterbury Road S, and south of US Highway 169 and includes developing 300 apartment units, 68 townhome units, and 222 detached unit lots totaling 590 housing units over five phases. The EAW, which assesses the potential environmental impacts of the project, will be available to view electronically at www.ShakopeeMN.gov and during business hours at the following locations:

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a 30-day public comment period for the EAW shall begin on February 18, 2020.
The purpose of this notice is to provide citizens the opportunity to comment on the EAW. Individuals or representatives of organizations are encouraged to submit written comments prior to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
