Photos: Shakopee is Victorious over Eastview Volleyball
The Shakopee High School volleyball team came out strong against Eastview on Tuesday evening and was victorious, winning all three games.
In the first varsity volleyball game of the season for both Eastview and Shakopee, it appeared that both teams would be well matched at the net and elsewhere on the court.
But Shakopee managed to score consistently, and the match ended with a 3-0 loss for the Lightning, who were ranked in the top 20 in the state's preseason coaches poll.
Alyssa Besch and Claire Grimm of Eastview played a hard and consistent match. Carlee Hoppe and Claire Sames of Shakopee showed great skill on the court as they led the Sabres to a victory.
