Prior Lake Students, Staff and Family Members Honor Lauren Peterson

An expanding crowd of current and former Prior Lake High School students, joined by staff members and family members, gathered outside the high school immediately following sixth period today to pay tribute to Lauren Peterson, according to a report by the Prior Lake American.

Lauren Peterson, 18, of Prior Lake, was one of four women who died in a  on the way back to North Dakota State University in fog and snowy conditions.

The three others who died in the crash were Danielle R. Renninger, 18, of Excelsior; Jordan Playle, 19 of Elk River; and Megan Sample, 18 of Rogers.
