Raceway Park in Shakopee Readies for NASCAR Season
Raceway Park's NASCAR season opener is Sunday, May 6.

's official NASCAR season gets under way at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 6.
As they gear up for the season, Raceway Park will have open practice Saturday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular season practice will be Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Raceway Park will also hold a test and tune event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 29. The International Motor Contest Association old-timers swap meet will be held that day in the parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the completion of the test and tune, the pits will be cleared and the real action will begin at 3 p.m. with a racing program including the Mini Stocks, Thunder V8s, kidney bean race, Flagpole race, Figure 8's and Spectator Drags.

The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series has announced a new partnership with Mobil 1 that could bring out even more competitive racing spirit at Raceway Park. The winning crew chief with a Mobil 1 decal on the racecar in Division 1 will be invited to a season ending award luncheon at Stewart-Haas Racing during the banquet week in Charlotte, NC.
This gives the top local late-model crew chief the opportunity to represent Raceway Park on a national level with NASCAR, and to share information and race strategies with other top crew chiefs from NASCAR Whelen All-American Series sanctioned tracks across the United States.
