Recycle Your Stuff At Rescheduled Clean Up Day In Shakopee
Clean Up Day is open to all residents of Shakopee, Jackson Township and Louisville Township.

Join the city Saturday, July 18 for the rescheduled spring Clean Up Day event.

The drop-off event will take place from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Public Works building, 400 Gorman St. Enter off Fourth Avenue.
Fees range from $25 to $45 and are based on type of vehicle hauling the load. Some items have additional fees; excessive loads could also incur an additional fee.

The city is taking extra precautions to ensure this is a safe event for all participants. To limit contact, check or credit card preferred; cash may be accepted. Residents are also asked to stay in their vehicles during the unloading.
Items to be accepted for recycling and disposal include:
- Electronics
- Computers
- Car batteries
- Tires (maximum eight)
- Couches, chairs, miscellaneous furniture
- Mattress/Box Spring ($20 each)
- Propane tanks
- General scrap metal
- Appliances ($10/each)
- Light bulbs (first 10 free; $2 per bulb over 10)
- Concrete/asphalt, landscape blocks, untreated lumber
- Residential rolled carpet only:
- Yard waste and brush bundles
- Garbage
A detailed list of accepted and not-accepted items is available on the city website at www.ShakopeeMN.gov/cleanupday. Shakopee Rotary will also not be collecting donations for Bridging, Inc.
Free Textile Recycling and Paper Shredding
Residents can also drop off textiles for recycling and paper shredding free of charge in front of the 500 Gorman St. building. Residents recycling textiles and paper do not need to wait in line and can drop off items at any time.
Clean Up Day is open to all residents of Shakopee, Jackson Township and Louisville Township. ID are required.
