Shakopee, MN – On Saturday, October 19, the Minnesota Real Estate Team partnered with Tech Dump, an electronics recycling nonprofit, to collect over 17,000 pounds of unwanted electronics.
People brought everything from old TVs to printers, cell phones, laptops, and more. Many commented that they were cleaning out years’ worth of electronics.
The event was held from 10am-2pm in the parking lot of the realty office’s location at 1228 Vierling Drive East.
Ryan O’Neill, Broker/Sales Manager of The Minnesota Real Estate Team shared, "It was a real pleasure to partner with such an outstanding organization like Tech Dump. And we were so pleased with the results of our event: collecting over 17,000 pounds of electronics in a four hour period. A big thank you again to Tech Dump for the valuable service they
provide to our local communities."
The numerous electronic items will now be refurbished and recycled in an environmentally friendly way while providing stable jobs to economically disadvantaged adults. Tech Dump is a local nonprofit fully funded through the collection and recycling of electronics. They accept items year-round out of their Golden Valley location, with one to two events each year in Shakopee.
