The Shakopee Chamber of Commerce is hosting its second trip to Cuba to discover the country’s delightful people, island culture, unique history and beautiful landscapes and will be holding an informational meeting at its October Business Builder Luncheon on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11:30 a.m.

The informational meeting will feature special guests, Sheila and Mark McNeill, who attended the Chamber’s first Cuba trip last year.  This meeting will allow people interested in attending the second Cuba trip a firsthand opportunity to hear what the trip was like, see photos and ask questions. Those not interested in attending the trip but curious to hear more about the culture are welcome to join us at the luncheon.

The Chamber is partnering with Chamber Explorations, a division of Premier World Discovery, to offer this second Discover Cuba trip on February 2, 2014 to its members, friends and family, as well as the general public.

“Cuba is a step back into the 1950's.  The trip gave us a chance to see one of the last countries that is hanging on to Communism and how its people are taking their first steps away from that failed system,” explained Mark McNeill who attended the first Cuba trip with the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce. “It was a fascinating experience and one that I would highly recommend.”

RSVPs for the luncheon are required for food counts.  The Business Builder Luncheon will be $20 for members and $30 for non-Chamber members. Please contact the Shakopee Chamber at (952) 445-1660 for questions or additional information.
