City will not complete Environmental Impact Study for Summerland Place Development
The City Council passed a resolution in line with the recent Summerland Place Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW), finding no need to complete a more involved Environmental Impact Statement. Pioneer Engineering, on behalf of Summergate Companies LLC, has submitted plans for mixed-use development of approximately 114 acres south of Highway 169, west of Mystic Lake Drive and north of 17th Avenue. The proposed development would consist of 588 residential units split between apartments, townhomes and single-family units. The findings of the EAW found no need to complete an Environmental Impact Statement because the project does not have the potential for substantial environmental impacts.
