Shakopee City Council To Tackle Marriage Amendment Resolutions

The city will hear three resolutions at the next council meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 2.

The Shakopee City Council will hear three marriage amendment resolutions at this week's city council meeting on Tuesday, Mayor Brad Tabke said in a blog post

The resolutions ask the city to:

  • Oppose the amendment,
  • Support the amendment, or
  • Take no action.

City council could also decide not to vote on the resolutions.

Each side of the issue will have fifteen minutes each to present their opposition or support of the amendment, Tabke said.

The next city council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. Meetings are located at City Hall.
