Shakopee City Schedules Public Hearing For May 5
The city will not be responsible for repayments of the bonds, and the bonds will not be secured by or payable from any property or assets.

A public hearing is scheduled for the May 5 City Council meeting to consider the issuance of conduit revenue bonds to finance the construction and equipping of an expansion of the emergency department, cancer treatment and other capital needs for the St. Francis Regional Medical Center. The proposed resolution authorizes the issuance of up to $25 million in conduit bonds. The city will not be responsible for repayments of the bonds, and the bonds will not be secured by or payable from any property or assets of the city.

The public is invited to provide comment on the application through an online comment form. Comments will be reviewed by city staff and provided to the City Council prior to the meeting.
The City Council meets at 7 p.m. May 5. It is anticipated that some or all of the members of the Shakopee City Council will participate in the meeting by telephone rather than by being personally present at the City Hall council chambers, 485 Goman St., Shakopee. The public can monitor the meeting, which starts at 7 p.m., live on Shakopee Government TV or www.ShakopeeMN.gov/livestream.
