Shakopee Early Voting Begins Jan. 17 At City Hall

New this year, Shakopee residents can vote early in person at Shakopee City Hall, 485 Gorman St., during business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The city will have special voting hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29 and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, March 2.

Registered voters can also request an absentee ballot via the mail on the Minnesota Secretary of State website or pick up an application at city hall beginning Jan. 17.

The presidential nominating primary is Tuesday, March 3. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the city.

The primary is voters' opportunity to narrow down the candidates seeking their party's nomination for president.
