The No. 1 seed Sabers, which finished second on the Missota Conference faces No. 4 seed Waconia, the runner-up in the Wright County Conference. The Wildcats have won seven straight games, including three against ranked teams. Waconia knocked off the 2007, 2008 and 2009 state champion in the Section 2AAA semifinals last year and finished third in the state tournament. Shakopee has won 13 of its last 14 matches, including its final four. The winner of this match faces the winner of Hutchinson versus Chanhassen Saturday at 6 p.m.

Claire Sames - Shakopee middle hitter
The senior started on the state championship teams in 2008 and 2009. She was named All-Missota Conference as a junior.
Anna Pioske– Chaska setter/outside hitter
The senior was named to the Class AAA All-State Tournament team last year. Her older sister, Kara, plays for Division II national champion Concordia St. Paul.
