Shakopee Rolls Over Fridley in Football Opener

The Sabers begin their season with a lopsided 56-6 victory

The Shakopee football team's offense was churning like a well-oiled machine on Friday night, giving everyone in attendance a chance to see what the Sabers have been working on this summer in a 56-6 win over Fridley at home.

Running backs were able to pick up yardage in big chunks and were sometimes not touched until they reached the secondary.

The defense also held Fridley to zero points; Fridley's only points came off of a fumble recovery when the Sabers had the ball.
