Shooting At Canterbury Park Prayer Service Now Homicide Investigation: Police
Shakopee police said officers found a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds on Wednesday morning.
SHAKOPEE, MN — A shooting Wednesday morning at a prayer service at Canterbury Park is now being investigated as a homicide, according to Shakopee police.
Officers responded at about 9:55 a.m. Wednesday to a weapons complaint at Canterbury Park, police said.
When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

The man was taken to HCMC, police said. Shakopee police later said the case is now a homicide investigation.
The victim had been attending a prayer service at Canterbury Park’s Expo Center.

Police said they are still working to identify the people involved.
