Taco Loco Celebrates Tenth Anniversary; Shakopee Customers Rave

The Shakopee Mexican restaurant unveiled a new mural and sold tacos for $1 during its tenth anniversary celebration on Sunday.

It's been ten years since the Mendez family opened Taco Loco at 1555 1st Ave, and their homecooked Mexican food has won a lot of love from Shakopee residents.

Hundreds of people responded to Taco Loco's Facebook announcements about their 10th anniversary celebration on Sunday.

"We took a liking to TL back when your Dad started calling me "gringo" after your opening," wrote Steve Cornish. "We have moved 25 miles away and still come in regularly."

During the celebration, kids ate free, tacos were sold for $1 and Taco Loco unveiled a new mural.
