Three Public Hearings Scheduled For Upcoming Shakopee City Council Meeting On May 19

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 485 Gorman St.

Three public hearings have been scheduled for the May 19 City Council meeting. Hearings will be held to consider:

  • Vacation of public drainage and utility easements as dedicated within Lot 1, Block 1 and Outlot B of Canterbury Park Seventh Addition. Canterbury Park Entertainment and Canterbury Development are requesting the vacation for construction of a new public road, Unbridled Avenue.
  • Vacation of public drainage and utility easements as dedicated within Lot 1, Block 1 of Friendship Church. D.R. Horton Inc.-Minnesota is proposing a development of a portion of the property at the northwest corner of County Highway 78 and Marystown Road. Development of this property requires a new plat.
  • Vacation of a portion of the Vierling Drive West right-of-way, along with a portion of drainage and utility easements in west Shakopee. The vacation involves a small portion of the right-of-way adjacent to the roundabout at the intersection of Vierling Drive and Lincoln Street.

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 485 Gorman St. It is anticipated some or all members of the City Council may appear by video conference.
