Winter Parking Regulations Begin Nov. 1 in Shakopee
Here's a refresher on the parking regulations, which start today.

Violation of the winter parking regulations can result in tagging and towing of the vehicle.
From the Shakopee Police Department: Winter parking regulations are in effect from Nov. 1 to March 31. During these months, there is no parking on any city street from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.
However, in the area bordered by the Minnesota River on the north and 10th Avenue on the south, and by Marschall Road on the east and CR 69 on the west, odd/even parking rules apply.

On even numbered days between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., parking is allowed on the even numbered side of the street. On odd numbered days, parking is only allowed on the odd numbered side of the street at those times.
After a snowfall of two or more inches, a snow emergency is declared and parking restrictions are effective 24 hours a day until the snow has been plowed curb to curb. Additionally, there is no parking on snow routes during a snow emergency.
