1 Rescued After Car Falls Down Mississippi River Embankment
One person was rescued Tuesday morning after a car left the road and fell towards the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — One person was rescued Tuesday morning after a car left the road and fell towards the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. The car traveled down the river embankment, Minneapolis fire said on Twitter.
The incident occurred near 26th Street and West River Road. The rescue effort began at about 8:40 a.m. The victim was rescued via airboat and transported to paramedics, who were staged and ready to accept patient on shore.
Minneapolis fire said the victim was "alert and oriented."
