10-Year-Old Boy Shot, Killed In Minneapolis Apartment: Police
The boy and another child were home alone when the shooting occurred, according to police.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A 10-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in a Minneapolis apartment Friday night, according to police.
Minneapolis police were called to an apartment building in the 300 block of Hennepin Avenue shortly after 11:30 p.m., police said in a news release. When officers arrived, they found the boy suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.
According to authorities, the boy and another juvenile family member were home alone when the shooting occurred.

Officers administered first aid before taking the boy to the hospital, where he later died, officials said.
Police have not released the name of the victim. The shooting remains under investigation.
