12-Year-Old Killed In Minneapolis After 'Verbal Disagreement'

MINNEAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a 12-year-old boy was shot and killed in Minneapolis Wednesday afternoon following "verbal disagreement."

The dispute "turned violent when at least one person presented a gun and began shooting," police said. Suspects fled before officers arrived at the scene at 3:41 p.m.

No arrests have been made, but "strong headway has been made on this case already," police said. Anyone with information can submit anonymous tips here.

The child's death was the 62nd homicide in Minneapolis so far this year.

Police are still looking for suspects in the seperate shooting deaths of children ages 10, 9, and 6 in Minneapolis that took place earlier this year.
