Police reviewed Metro Transit video footage of the shooting, and later found and arrested Powell, authorities said.

During the arrest, officers found that Powell was carrying a handgun that was the same caliber as the discharged cartridge casing, according to investigators.

Powell then admitted to shooting the 15-year-old and said the handgun he was carrying was the one used to shoot him, police said.
