A 2-year-old child is the lone survivor in a fatal crash that occurred in northwest Minnesota Sunday near Fergus Falls.
A 2001 Chevy Tracker was headed eastbound on Highway 29, two miles east of Deer Creek, while a 1999 Olds Oldsmobile Alero was traveling westbound.
The Oldsmobile was attempting to pass another vehicle and crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the Chevy, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash occurred at 3:18 p.m.
The driver of the Chevy, 63-year-old Lucille Marie Rehm, of Parkers Prairie, and the driver of the Oldsmobile, 31-year-old Jessica Marie Lannes, of Wadena, both sustained fatal injuries.

The passenger of the Oldsmobile, 2-year-old Mason Mousseau, also of Wadena, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
