2017 Wild Card Playoff: New York Yankees Host Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins are in the playoffs for the first time in seven years.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The Minnesota Twins are in the playoffs for the first time in seven years. The Twins will compete in a single-game wild card playoff against the New York Yankees Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. central. Twins pitcher Ervin Santana (16-8) will face off against Yankee Luis Severino (14-6).

While the game is played in the Bronx, the Twins are hosting a free and open to the public watch party at Target Field Tuesday night. Fans can hang out in the Delta Sky 360 Club for the event while watching the Twins take on either the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

"The Twins are thrilled to return to postseason play and to have this opportunity to invite our fans to watch Tuesday's Wild Card game from the confines of Target Field," Twins President and CEO Dave St. Peter said in a news release. "We hope to make Tuesday night a special evening for Twins fans - both on the road and back home in Minnesota."
