3-Year-Old Dies After Pool Incident In Wright County

WRIGHT COUNTY, MN — A 3-year-old has died after being found unconscious at the bottom of a residential pool.

At around 3 p.m. Friday, Wright County deputies and emergency crews responded to the scene on the 1300 block of County Road 112 in Woodland Township.

The 3-year-old was out of pool when emergency services arrived and lifesaving efforts had been started.

The child was transported by helicopter to a hospital in the Twin Cities metro. On Sunday, the sheriff’s office was notified the 3-year-old had died.

Minnesota has seen a number of drowning-related incidents recently, including a 5-year-old boy found unconscious in an Eagan pool last month.
